INTRODUCING:
The Thriving Musician
A 6-month program for professional musicians to build a career that feeds your soul and your bank account
What our clients say:
Real client experiences working with Sarah
For the busy professional musician,
build your career on YOUR terms.
You’re a professional musician who’s been out in the music world for a while and your career is full…..but not with the things you chose.
You’ve had some incredible opportunities come your way and you know how to make things happen (though often at the expense of boundaries for self-care, time off…cue burnout)
Deep down, you know your career could be a lot less exhausting and way more fulfilling if you could take the driver’s seat and craft your career and schedule how YOU want it.
Is this you?
🎻You're subbing into other people's ensembles, teaching back-to-back lessons, taking the gig that calls last minute. You've been along for the ride, letting the opportunities that come your way dictate your path. Your schedule is full, but not with the things you chose.
💡You have about a million and a half ideas, many ongoing projects and commitments. You don't know how to choose your focus or how to design your life and career so that you have the time you crave with your 3-year-old.
📧You block time to work on your commissioning project. Then a last-minute gig comes in, three emails need answers, and the hour is gone before you've opened a single document — and you tell yourself I'll just do it next week. You've been saying that for a while now.
📆You find yourself daydreaming on the train about the chamber group you want to start. But when you look at your actual calendar, you genuinely cannot see where it fits.
I see it all the time — super-talented, deeply passionate musicians whose best ideas keep getting pushed to the back burner by a lack of time, clarity, and business know-how.
It doesn't have to stay that way.
You can intentionally build a career and a life that actually has room for the work that matters most — and still have slow mornings, long weekends, and time for the people you love.
Imagine…
⚡You sit down on Monday morning, look at your week, and for the first time you can actually see where your work fits — and where your family fits — and neither one is an afterthought.
⚡You're finally making real progress on your project — and for the first time, it's generating income. Not someday. Now.
⚡You reach out to a collaborator you've been putting off contacting for six months. The email takes you eleven minutes because you have a system, a clear sense of your value, and you're no longer waiting until you feel "ready."
⚡You see a colleague book that venue and instead of the guilt, you feel something different — because your own show is already in motion, and you know exactly what your next step is.
⚡A parent emails asking for yet another makeup lesson. Instead of your brain running 17 responses on a loop all day, you pull up your policy, grab the template you already created, send a kind, clear reply, and move on.
That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce…
The Thriving Musician
*limited enrollment
A 6-month program for professional musicians to build a thriving, sustainable career that actually fits your lifestyle and schedule
I’m selecting a small cohort of high-level, driven musician entrepreneurs who want to hone their mindset and business skills to confidently and intentionally create the career they want.
“Sarah helped me craft a dream career….the best investment I could have ever made in my career.”
Sarah helped me craft a dream career where I can run my own teaching business, run my own concert series, and coach incredible cellists from all over the world — and I completely credit that to my work with her. The Thriving Musician is the best investment I could have ever made in my career. The 21st century just asks us to be so dynamic and well-rounded and scrappy, and none of us have any training in that from our music education. Yes, it's a big investment upfront — but it pays for itself very quickly. Without it, there would have been a lot of heartache, a lot of struggle, and a lot of not being sure what to do.
- Nora Willauer, cellist & educator

“Since working with Sarah, I've really come to value myself regardless of what other people think.”
“Before working together, I was doing a ton of gigs and finding myself burnt out — and feeling guilty about it, because I had incredible opportunities. I knew something was off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Since working with Sarah, I've really come to value myself regardless of what other people think, and that moment of what could have been fear — the thought that this could go horribly wrong — is now: this could actually go horribly right. I've not talked to anyone who's done this program that's ever said "I wish I hadn't done that." If anything, you get into it and say — I wish I had set aside more time for this.”
-Will Curry, conductor on Broadway & violist NYC
Here's something I want you to know:
Wanting more doesn't mean you're ungrateful for what you’ve had.
You've had real success. You can be proud of what you've built and still know there's more – more spaciousness, more intention, more of the work that actually lights you up.
But nobody taught you in music school how to build that. The hustle was sold to you as the only way. And so here you are – talented, busy, and quietly wondering if this is really as good as it gets.
It's not.
That's exactly why I created The Thriving Musician — so that waking up excited about your career stops feeling like a fantasy and starts feeling like a normal Tuesday.
This program will have:
⚡LIVE Q&A COACHING WITH SARAH Twice a month, you bring your real questions about mindset, money, boundaries, clarity, next steps, and get coached in real time. Show up live or catch the replay — you never have to choose between the program and your schedule.
⚡A PRIVATE COMMUNITY OF INSPIRING, MOTIVATED MUSICIANS (24/7) Find your collaborators, supporters, and connections — in a space where no win is too small and no problem goes unsupported. Submit questions to Sarah between calls, get input from fellow musicians, and never figure out the hard stuff alone. Members consistently say this is the part they didn't know they needed most.
⚡INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS & TRAININGS Every month, we go deep into one topic — vision, marketing, networking, promotion, pricing, outreach, and more (the stuff nobody taught you in music school.) Show up live or implement from the replay at your own pace.
⚡THE MUSICIAN’S RESOURCE LIBRARY Inside the program, you get access to a curated library of tools, templates, guides, and frameworks built specifically for musicians. The stuff nobody taught you in music school — all in one place.
⚡POWER HOURS: LIVE ONLINE CO-WORKING SESSIONS Twice a month, you’ll have dedicated time to actually do the work, with the group alongside you so you can make real progress, without feeling micromanaged.
⚡REGULAR PROGRESS CHECK-INS & MILESTONES Always know where you are, what's next, and that you're still on track – even on the busy weeks.
“Before working with Sarah, I felt like I was just along for the ride when it came to my career…. Now it feels possible for me to take charge of my career in a way I never have before.”
“Before working with Sarah, I felt like I was just along for the ride when it came to my career. I wasn't prioritizing my own needs as an artist, and I wasn't being proactive about pursuing my own desires artistically. Now it feels possible for me to take charge of my career in a way I never have before — and I can already see movement in that direction. The investment wasn't just for the six months of the course. It feels like it's for the rest of my life.”
- Shane Shanahan, percussionist & founding member of Silk Road Ensemble
If you’re thinking “I’m super busy! Will I have time to make this work?” here’s what I want you to know:
📅I have thoughtfully designed this program for VERY busy musicians.
📒This is NOT one of those programs with information overload and tons of HW so you feel you need to spend months integrating all of the concepts after the program is over.
⏩The program is structured to allow for integration throughout, so you walk away with changes and progress forward that you want.
I’ve specifically designed this program to have full circle support. Every call is recorded and uploaded so you can catch up anytime. You’ll also have access to our private community where you can post questions, get feedback, and stay connected between sessions. Plus, you’ll have ongoing resources and check-ins to keep you moving forward, even if you can’t be there live. You’re fully supported, every step of the way.
How do you know if this program is the right fit for you?
The program might be for you if:
You're a professional musician who knows you're capable of more – but has no idea how to start building toward it
You've had success, but you've been letting the opportunities that come your way dictate your path – and you're ready to start building something that's entirely yours
You know you have something real to offer – but you can't seem to get out of your own way long enough to actually put it out there
You're ready to build a career that includes more of the work you actually want to do and generate more income than you ever thought possible – and you're done telling yourself those two things can't coexist
You're at least open to the idea that a few simple systems could unlock more progress than you've made in the last few years combined (it's okay if that sounds too good to be true – I'm going to show you exactly how!)
You want to be surrounded by a crew of inspiring, motivated musicians who get it and are ready to build something big alongside you
But, you should skip this program if:
You're not ready to put in the work to see real results. (Going at YOUR own pace is perfectly great. But I do need you to commit to taking steps, no matter how small or how long it takes.)
You're looking for a magic bullet or shortcut to success (I'd be retired by now if I had that!)
You need guaranteed results. I (nor anyone) can guarantee results in this program (or any program), in business, in life. What I can guarantee is that if you show up, you'll make progress -- that's a 100%.
You're not ready for success. Sounds weird to say, but this is a real thing. Imagining yourself waking up excited about what's on your schedule every day – without worrying about your bank account – should feel like a full body YES if you're signing up for this.
“I used to be stuck in the hustle, constantly overworking… after working with Sarah, I’ve found more balance, more sustainability, and permission to let my career unfold organically in the best way.”
I used to be stuck in the hustle, constantly overworking and feeling like I had to do everything at once. The Thriving Musician Program helped me realize that my life doesn’t have to be a nonstop grind. I’ve found more balance, more sustainability, and permission to let my career unfold organically.
Alongside the deeper personal growth, I also came out with a whole notebook full of practical tools—advertising, websites, finances, pricing, and asking for what I’m worth!
Also, I hadn’t considered how many inspiring, supportive friendships I would gain from this group. The community aspect has been invaluable.

“Before I started working with Sarah, I had a huge project that had been on my list for years …Since the program, the project that was hanging over my head is fully in motion.”
Before I started working with Sarah, I had a huge project that had been on my list for years — and for lots of different reasons, I just hadn't tackled it. Since the program, the project that was hanging over my head is fully in motion, and I've made 100 decisions. I feel like I know how to approach overwhelm now — how to take things one step at a time and move forward despite that feeling. It feels kind of like a gift to give yourself.

Hi! I’m Sarah!
I’m a career coach for high-achieving musicians, a violinist, artistic director, and espresso enthusiast who’s learned firsthand what it means to build a career on your own terms.
A hand injury early in my career led me to discover the power of mindset and coaching, but it was the pandemic that changed everything. When my performing work disappeared overnight, I used that moment to completely reimagine my life. I left the nonstop NYC freelance grind, built my coaching business from the ground up, and created a lifestyle that finally feels balanced, spacious, and fulfilling.
Along the way, I’ve turned countless ideas into reality—from co-founding a Billboard-charting ensemble to launching a 10-year concert series and now a thriving coaching business that helps musicians do the same.
Today, I help musicians craft careers that feel as good as they look, where purpose, creativity, and income work in harmony.
“Before the program, my biggest challenge was preventing myself from thinking I could invent the career I want in the music industry…Working with Sarah, I laid out my ideas and have them broken down into actionable steps.”
“Before the program, my biggest challenge was preventing myself from thinking I could invent the career I wanted in the music industry. Working with Sarah, I laid out my ideas, and it was so helpful to have them broken down into actionable steps — and I'm excited to take that approach to everything I do now.”
