Bring Joy
Reading a book. Riding your bike. Meeting up with friends. Gardening. Baking the perfect loaf of sourdough.
Do you enjoy doing any of these things?
Or maybe there's something else you really love to do that's not related to professional success.
That's right, I’m not talking about checking something off your to-do list—although I personally know the satisfaction that can bring. 😂
I mean something that has nothing to do with your work, goals, or productivity.
Maybe it’s planting flowers in your garden.
Reading a novel you can’t put down.
Playing a piece you love, just for yourself.
Or putting on a podcast, not because you want to learn something from it, but because it makes you happy to listen to it.
Here’s the thing:
Creativity doesn't live in running yourself ragged, booking the next gig, or practicing until your hands cramp.
Creativity lives in joy. Inspiration lives in joy. The next right step can be found not in conquering a to-do list, but in doing simple things that bring you pleasure.
Because when you give yourself permission to step away from your “shoulds” and into activities that light you up, you create space for your energy, ideas, and fulfillment to grow.
Joy isn’t a distraction from success—it’s fuel for it.
💛 This month, I challenge you to carve out just a little more time for something that makes you feel alive. Not because it’s “useful,” but because it matters to you.
