Legacy

Have you ever caught yourself thinking…where did the time go?

I’m not where I thought I’d be.

Time is running out.

Many established musicians & leaders in the arts I work with share the same ache: unfulfilled potential.

Especially now, when it feels like a rush to the finish line before a whole new year begins.

From the outside, things might look great. But on the inside, something still feels like it’s missing for them. Maybe for you, too.

Why does this happen?

Often, what I've found through my coaching business is that it’s because we forget to zoom out.

When you’re in the thick of gigs, teaching, rehearsals, and opportunities that just land on your plate, it’s easy to make decisions from a short-term lens.

Saying yes because it’s there.

Saying yes because you can.

But every “yes” to something that doesn’t truly align is also a “no” to something else—something that might matter more to your bigger picture.

And that’s where the ache comes in. Because deep down, you know:

✨ You want more fulfillment.

✨ You want to leave a meaningful legacy as an artist.

✨ You want impact—not just busyness.

The good news? You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to zoom out and ask: Does this decision align with the bigger picture of what I want?

Your career doesn’t have to run you. You get to be the driver. Now and into the New Year.

So here’s my challenge for you this week: Before you say yes to the next opportunity, take 30 seconds and ask yourself—will this move me closer to the life and career I actually want?
